A bespoke, women-only retreat on the beautiful Isle of Harris offering some of the most inspiring scenery to be found in the UK. This is a chance to switch off from the pressures of our modern world; to take time to replenish and focus on your creativity.

Activities such as art journalling, sketching outdoors and photography will encourage you to explore new ways of being creative and help you find your artistic voice.

We have secured comfortable self-catering accommodation by the water’s edge, with lovely walks from the door. Every room has en-suite facilities and we will share delicious home-cooked dinners and simple self-serve breakfasts and lunches.

INCLUDED: pick up from Stornoway or Tarbert, all food and drink (including wine at dinner), all creative activities and art supplies, outdoor led trips, inspirational sessions

Margaret Soraya

Margaret specialises in encouraging and inspiring others in a genuine way. She teaches others to find their voice and live in line with their core values.

She has a deep love of creativity, the coast, and quiet places and a belief in retreat to revitalise and replenish.

Living on Harris she has a special love and connection with the Island. She knows best where to find those special places on the Isle of Harris that will give you that special quiet connection that you need. 

 

 

Lesley Lintott

 Lesley is an artist and educator. Specialising in creating impressionistic and abstract work using her smartphone or mixed-media sketching.

Having previously worked as a vet and then a person-centred counsellor she is now enjoying sharing her love for nature and being creative in a way that supports and inspires others.

Carien Borst

Carien is a visual artist and mainly makes intuitive oil paintings and ‘soul landscapes’. She finds inspiration for her paintings in being outdoors, immersing herself in silence and preferably by the sea or ocean. After a career in mental health management, originally trained as an art therapist, she chose a new path to follow her heart.

                     A taste of whats on offer

This will be a relaxed retreat where you will have plenty of time to make the most of your time on this beautiful, wild island. Our accommodation is on the waters edge with seals, birds and sheep for neighbours you will be immersed in nature and creative inspiration from dawn to dusk. There will be plenty of activities available too, all completely optional and designed to be inspiring and nourishing. Your leaders believe that everyone has creative potential and will gently encourage you to find your own creative voice.  Activities may be done as a whole group, in small groups or individually – we have a high ratio of leaders to participants to allow for each day to be tailored to everyone’s needs. There is also the option to simply retreat and find your own quiet space to be creative and rest. Some highlights will include:

  • visits to art studios to meet local artists and be inspired
  • walks in nature from the houses or on the beautiful beaches of Harris
  • inspirational talks
  • creative activities such as sketching, journalling or simple creative photography
  • plenty of time to simply unwind
